Corrib Gas Project

The Corrib Natural Gas Field was discovered in 1996 by Enterprise Oil, some 83km off the north west coast of Ireland, it has since been acquired by Shell in 2002. The Corrib gas field was discovered in 350 metres of water with the gas reservoir a further 3000 metres below the seabed. Read more.

The Onshore Gas Pipeline

The Corrib Gas Partners and RPS Consultants are currently in the process of modifying the onshore gas pipeline route as recommended by Mr. Peter Cassells in his report, July 2006, which is to address community concerns regarding proximity to housing. 

In January 2007, SEPIL appointed RPS to provide a full range of technical services to complete re-routing, planning, environmental assessment, permitting and construction management for the re-route of the onshore gas pipeline. Read more.
